Sviatoslav Richter – Out of Later Years Vol. 1, works by J.S. Bach, Brahms and Beethoven. Richter. These live performances date from the last years of the legendary Russian pianist’s career and include a majestically performed group of seven works by Bach that he presented in Bonn in 1993 and Brahms nostalgic late intermezzos recorded the year before. As ever with Richter, it is the sheer intensity of his music-making that seizes the ear and the emotions.
